BIDOS® Family - VCSEL Technolgy

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is introducing it’s new infrared laser module (PLPVDC 940_P_L01) with a built-in driver IC especially designed towards 3D sensing applications based on the Time-of-Flight (ToF) method. The 940 nm VCSEL power array delivers an optical output power of 3W with typical rise- and fall times of 0.5 ns. The built-in laser driver IC provides automatic power control (APC), laser safety features, an integrated temperature sensor and improved optical rise times due to reduced parasitic inductances. The integrated monitor photodiode is used for calibration of the optical output power, automatic power control and for detecting laser safety issues (lens drop, skin contact).
