Osram Opto Semiconductors’ Filament LED Wins Prestigious Product Innovation Award

Traditional design with latest technology
The new Soleriq L 38 uses long, thin LEDs as its filaments to maintain a classic look, while taking advantage of today’s leading edge LED technology that is more energy efficient and longer lasting than incandescent lamps. The award-winning product is offered in various correlated color temperatures, forward voltages and brightness levels providing an extremely uniform color appearance and high quality of light. The pleasing light creates a cozy atmosphere ideal for aesthetic lighting applications in homes, hotels and restaurants. Attributes that helped Soleriq L 38 rise to the top of the Architectural SSL PIAs.

Soleriq L 38 features three different lumen packages (80, 120 and 140 lm) and warm white color temperatures (2200 – 4000 K) at CRI 80 ensure the right brightness. Good thermal design maintains cool operation without the need of a heatsink, leading to a radiant light source in a traditional and familiar form

Easy integration of patented-protected product
The patent-protected Soleriq L 38 can be easily integrated into classic lamp production lines thanks to its size (30mm x 1.8mm) and shape, which is similar to a conventional filament. The form factor, 360° emission angle and excellent light quality make it ideal for upgrading existing indoor lamp types (A17-A19, A55-A60, B12, ST64, G23-G40). These lamps are found in a wide variety of hospitality and home applications.

To distinguish between the two application types, the company is rebranding some of its products including the Soleriq L 38. The Soleriq L series will soon join the Duris family, which represents consumer products with an optimized cost-performance ratio.
