In June 2016, the Rafa Nadal Academy opened its doors in Manacor (Mallorca), Nadal’s home town. The Academy combines tennis and education so that students can continue their pathway to professional tennis without having to neglect their academic studies. The asymmetric distribution SiCOMPACT® A3 MAXI and A2 MIDI HIT floodlights are perfectly suitable for standard-compliant and energy-efficient lighting of large sports facilities. With horizontal alignment of the light emission aperture, the illuminated area can be lit so that less than 3% stray light is emitted to the upper hemisphere. A highly specular anodised aluminium reflector ensures efficient light distribution with either narrow asymmetric or wide asymmetric distribution. The floodlights can be precisely adjusted in 5° steps for exact illumination of the application area. Integral twist protection permanently fixes the luminaires.
